Nicosia car rental requirements: documents, deposit and age
Documents and payment
Bring your original driving licence, passport or national ID, booking confirmation and a debit or credit card in a named driver's name. A spouse's card is accepted when the spouse is added as a named driver. A licence in a non-Roman alphabet requires an International Driving Permit alongside the original.
Only drivers named on the contract may drive the car.
Age, deposit and fuel
Drivers aged 25–80 need a licence held for at least one year. Drivers aged 21–24 need two years, may rent eligible Economy vehicles only and pay a €6 daily young-driver surcharge.
The standard refundable deposit is €300; selected cover may reduce it. Deposit and damage excess are confirmed with your booking. Fuel is full-to-full. Unlimited kilometres apply within the Republic of Cyprus unless your agreement states otherwise.
